A designated Royal Mail ship, she frequently undertakes transatlantic crossings between Southampton and New York. The Grills Experience
A range of 10 main and speciality dining restaurants are available, with menus created by Jean-Marie Zimmermann, Cunard’s Global Culinary Ambassador. Tables for 4-8 are typical and are pre-allocated. Tables for 2 or 10 are available on request, but may have limited availability.
Queens Grill – the most luxurious, fine-dining venue onboard. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and a la carte menus available. Exclusively for Queen’s Grill Suite passengers. Single seating.
Princess Grill – intimate, fine dining. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and a la carte menus available. Exclusively for Princess Grill Suite passengers. Single seating.
Britannia Restaurant – spanning the full beam of the ship, 3 decks high with 2 grand sweeping staircases. Early or late seating for dinner, open seating for breakfast and lunch.
Britannia Club Class - Single-seating for Britannia Club Balcony staterooms only. Britannia restaurant menu with added a la carte options and table flambé service.
Alternative dining options include buffets, fast food and celebrity chef inspired restaurants. A cover charge may apply at some alterative dining venues.
Todd English – reservations only. Named after American chef, Todd English, owner of Boston restaurant Olive; the first US TV Chef’s restaurant at sea, serving Mediterranean cuisine.
Winter Garden – inspired by London’s Kew Gardens, with year-round flowers in bloom. Relaxing and peaceful serving afternoon tea accompanied by a string quartet (on select days)
Queen’s Room– specialising in afternoon tea. Traditional, white-gloved waiters serve traditional English afternoon tea accompanied by the sounds of a string quartet
Kings Court Buffet – self-service breakfast and lunch. At night, decorated screens transform Kings Court into 4 separate dining venues; Italian Trattoria (La Piazza), Asian cuisine (Lotus), British eatery (The Carvery) and Chef’s Galley.
Boardwalk Cafe – serving fast food.
The Golden Lion – traditional British pub food.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner from the main dining restaurant menus can be ordered for delivery to passengers’ cabins or suites.

Spanning 2 decks, the Canyon Ranch Spa provides a number of treatments and facilities, such as

classic subjects are popular features in Cunard’s cruises. Educational

Cunard ConneXions – classes range from watercolour to computer lessons, wine tasting to ballroom dancing, with lessons and games of bridge. 7 classrooms, used for Oxford University’s ‘Oxford Discovery’ programs which include seamanship and navigation, art and wine appreciation, history, languages and philosophy
Cunard Insights - offering a wide range of speakers, from explorers, academics and historians to scientists, novelists and biographers. Former ambassadors and politicians, award winning actors and filmmakers have also given talks on historical and contemporary issues.
RADA Acting Workshops – creative, informative and fun 45-minute workshops run by actors from the famous Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
Cunard ConneXions and Insights
A number of activities just for children are on offer through Cunard’s kids clubs and night nursery, along with Minnows pool (just for children).
- Night Nursery – operating between 6pm-11pm, for 12-23 month olds. First come, first served basis
- Play Zone – supervised play area for 2-7 year olds, featuring arts, crafts, books, puzzles, toys and computer games
- Kids Zone – supervised play area for 8-12 year olds, featuring games, activities, games consoles, sport competitions, arts, crafts and scavenger hunts
- Teen Zone – for 13-17 year olds,
featuring table tennis tournaments, team games, deck sports, pizza parties,
discos, quizzes and bingo
Primarily for adults, many of the onboard activities are non age-specific. Wine tasting and lecturing programs are designed with adults in mind, with additional dinner packages available.
Kennels – for transatlantic crossings only. Dogs and cats are allowed within the liner’s 12 kennels. All pets must have a microchip, official PETS certificate of passport, as well as vaccinations against rabies. Between $500-$700 per dog ($250 for additional dogs) or $1,000 per cat.
Pitbull terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dago argentine, Fila Brasilerio and any mixed dogs containing these breeds are strictly prohibited, as they are banned (illegal to own) in the UK.

Useful to Know
Gentlemen hosts – 6-10 gentlemen hosts are available on most cruises, with additional members of the entertainment team and dance instructors happy to dance with single travellers or those in need of a partner.
Dress Code - A strict dress code operators onboard for passengers of all ages. This includes.
Day – casual shirts shorts, trousers and beachwear.
Evening - formal or informal. On formal evening smart trouser suit, cocktail or evening dresses for ladies. A tuxedo, diner jacket, dark suit, military or formal national dress for men. On informal nights, jacket and tie for men, cocktail dress or smart separates for women.
Dress codes come into affect at 6pm. Passengers not wishing to take part may use Lido Restaurant or the Garden Lounge Bar only.
Shorts, denim, sandals and sleeveless tops are not permitted in any restaurants.
International Calls - Mobile phones do work whilst at sea. International maritime roaming (displayed as MCP or 901 12) costs £1.40 per minute and 50p per text. This is added to your service provider mobile bill, not your onboard account. Calls using the ships phones are charged at $4.95 per minute.
Fitness and Gym - Under 14’s must be accompanied in the gym. Under 16’s are not allowed to use weight lifting equipment without supervision.
